The reason I stopped to read your book lists was the picture of The Fact of the Body, in my opinion one of the most under read books. I can not recommend this book enough. Normally I love a book lists, but SubStack has so many, I have become overwhelmed by them. Glad I stopped to read yours as there are other books I will now keep my eye out for. Thanks.
I'm so happy I stumbled across this post. What a great list! I usually prefer reading nonfiction, and I'm always looking for great recommendations. This list has so many good reads! I particularly like how, in some months, you group similar subjects together, almost like creating your own curriculum! How cool!
Thank you for stopping by, Emma. I grouped them in the hope that it will help with writing more extended essays on some of these topics 😂 I appreciate you for noticing my efforts
What a fantastic list! As someone who loves to read both non-fiction and fiction, I can see this post being a resource I return to when I'm looking for a great non-fiction read.
I try to do both, using bath or bed time for reading and on my best days I can do that. However when I’m in the thick of a novel, drafting or revision, then I’m just mentally spent.
I thought Doppelganger was fantastic. Reading the Sixth Extinction now - great list!

Agreed, there are many lists, but not that many focused on nonfiction, I hope 😂
I’m glad you were able to find some engaging titles 😊 thank you for reading and stopping by

That’s such a great idea! I need to do this too!
I found a book! Nice list!
That's awesome. Which one stood out?
The Age of Magical Overthinking.
That one! I'm looking forward to reading it. I'm a big overthinker, including a title for my newsletter— I changed it 4 times
Haha. Overthinking is my normal. Trying to change that 🤎
So many intriguing titles on your list. You’re making me want to grab a stack of books and run away to the woods!
Same
Doesn't it?
It was easy to select what to read. The hard part was to categorise them by theme, so there's some structure each month 😂

Oh, that means a lot! Thank you
I’m am impressed! My writing needs to take a backseat soon so I can increase my reading.
Sometimes, it's what it takes. I agree, and I like your idea. I've recently "backseated" to publishing twice a month so I can read more
